Cancer

Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in the United States. Cancer can occur in any part of the body, affecting both men and women alike.

For the men, they are most susceptible to testicular cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer, colon cancer and bladder cancer.

Preventing cancer from striking you

  • Maintain a nutritional diet. There are countless studies out about how fresh leafy vegetables, the type loaded with antioxidants can decrease the risk of cancer. A daily dose of 7-10 fruits and vegetables can also reduce the risk of cancer.
  • Maintain a good body weight. If you are obese, then consult your doctor about an exercise and eating program. Learn to trim down fat and count calories and exercise at least once a day if not more.
  • Go holistic: green teas, olive leaf extract, grapefruit seed extract, rosemary and curcumin are all thought to have properties that may inhibit cancer cell growth
  • Watch your cholesterol, if you are in the lower numbers you run the risk of becoming a cancer victim.
  • Limit your intake of dairy foods, stay away from junk foods and processed foods, salt, sugar and white flour.
  • Fast away- under your doctor’s supervision fast your body several times a month to help rid the body of toxins and waste products.
  • Use sunscreen when you can.

Stay away from street drugs and alcohol and cigarettes.

As much as you can, stay away from stress. Investigate the relaxation therapies that are available: yoga, tybo, meditation, and visualization and join support groups to help you cope.
