Cosmetic Surgery: The Brow Lift
Aging is one of those things that people really worry about. Of course all of us would want to have a youthful face, but because of the several environmental factors that usually make us show our angry or worry lines, our skin sags especially along the forehead area. But worry no more because there is a functional cosmetic surgery procedure that can reverse the process of aging. The brow lift, which can also be aptly called an "endobrow lift”, is a surgical cosmetic procedure that lifts sagging forehead, eyebrows, and eyelids. The end result is usually a smoother forehead and fewer frown lines. Brow lift candidates Methods and Procedures In the classic lift or traditional lift, a long incision is done above the ears following the shape of the hairline while the endoscopic lift requires less incision as the surgeon makes use of an instrument (endoscope) to observe the muscles and tissues through a monitor. The surgeon also performs the required changes or modifications simultaneously. In the latter procedure, scarring is less likely to occur since the surgeon has to make small incisions only. The recovery is also shorter as compared to the classic brow lift and it also provides a significant long-term effect as well. Brow lift preparation Post brow lift and its effects Those who experienced the classic brow lift can expect more pain and numbness so painkillers may be prescribed by your doctor. But regardless of the medical procedure, you should anticipate a tingling sensation in the area affected by the surgery. In 7 to 10 days, it is expected that you can already go back to your normal activities but lifting heavy materials and doing strenuous activities are not advisable during the first couple of weeks.
