Dr Phil Diet

Dr. Phil McGraw wanted to provide people with skills and tools to handle addictions in one form or another, specifically helpful tools in preventing bad eating habits, which result into a healthier lifestyle and desirable figure. He established a weight control design that would lead any person into healthy thinking and eating. In his book "The Ultimate Weight Loss Solution", he enumerates seven keys for sustainable and long-term weight loss. Moreover, his book helps any dieter look at the mental and emotional roots of his obesity and excessive eating problems.

Included in Dr. Phil's approach is a balanced meal plan of absolutely healthy food groups of high fiber and complex carbohydrate, whole grains, fruits and vegetables, and healthy protein, and fats. According to Dr. Phil, weight loss efforts will be useless if you are unable to fit your strategy to your personal life and efforts so that you will be able to feed yourself with foods of good quality and sufficient portions. Moreover, he insists that satisfaction and nutrition are the keys to health and that they must be always included in any weight management plan. Thus, your menus must be correctly planned in order to supply your body with the necessary energy and nutrients, while making sure that your support group or family are able to deal with the psychological issues and that they empower you. Otherwise you will not be able to raise enough self-control to make the needed choices.

For Dr. Phil, emotional factors affect eating at a more fundamental level than nutrition. Unless these emotional factors are dealt with properly with finality, you will never succeed -- no matter how nutritious your food or even if you take the first necessary step towards the goal. Unless you are able to think in a healthy manner, nutrition will not be effectively healthy for you because you will not be able to make the necessary changes in your lifestyle. Indeed, there are many weight loss plans in the market but they somehow are unable to deal with the mental aspect; thus, they are non-sustainable or maintainable for a long period.

Dr. Phil's diet plan is about knowing why and how you failed and how to defeat your failure. It is the true conquest of the obesity monster inside. It encourages you to focus to truly want to lose weight and to keep it with healthy eating and exercise.
