Seattle Sutton
The Seattle Sutton plan is generally marketed as being more of a "general health and well-being" plan than a "weight loss" plan. The goal of the system isn't so much reducing your weight by controlling your food intake as it is reducing the calories and other things that might become detrimental to your well-being in the long-term. Aside from this, the Seattle Sutton concept also includes several other facets that are designed to set it apart from other diet systems of its sort, making it both unique and beneficial. One of the primary features of this system is the convenience. The basic problem with most dietary plans nowadays is that they tend to be inconvenient. This inconvenience is caused by a number of factors, though time and money are the main considerations. Most of the meals included in the plan simply aren't quick enough to be prepared by someone who is busy holding down a job or raising children. Also, some of the ingredients are expensive, mainly because suppliers creating artificial shortages to cash in on the "healthy eating" craze. These problems limit the people that the plan can reach out to and help with any level of effectiveness. Since all the preparation, shopping, and presentation are done by others, people who subscribe to this system no longer have to concern themselves with getting the meal. The convenience factor stems from the fact that the meals are delivered, rather than purchased from a store. That means that one merely has to have the delivery scheduled at a convenient time and place, rather than forcing one to divert time from a busy schedule to buy the food. This eliminates the need to have meals prepared ahead of time, as well as helping alleviate the problem of people on a diet plan purchasing fast foods due to lack of time to prepare the proper meals ahead of time. Another feature of the Seattle Sutton is the fact that it has multiple benefits aside from the "healthier eating" it was designed for. It has been discovered that, if followed properly with as little deviation as possible, the plan actually can help one reduce weight. Another positive of this is that the foods listed are generally not known to have adverse effects on conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure. The diet's ingredients and dishes are not gastronomically offensive to most conditions that limit what a person is allowed to eat; meaning even people with such inflictions should have no trouble finding something they're allowed to eat in the system. Finally, the Seattle Sutton boasts that its recipes are, unlike most "healthy" diets, actually items with taste. In other words, the plan does not consist of salt-free, fat-free, and (arguably) taste-free dishes. Naturally, to keep the food from being detrimental to one's health, the levels of salt, calories, and the like are toned down. However, in most instances, the dishes are simply prepared in such a manner that the flavor is preserved but most of the undesirable elements are eliminated. | |||
